Marketplace Distribution and Sync

Marketplace distribution is opt-in. Products remain private to your workspace until an authorized staff member submits them and BoxNCase approves the listing.

What is synchronized

Approved products, variants, and media	Workspace → marketplace	Only the submitted assortment is eligible for publication. SKU and identifier conflicts block publication.
Available inventory	Workspace → marketplace	Sellable quantity follows the configured warehouse and safety-stock rules.
Marketplace orders	Marketplace → workspace	New orders appear with the information required to accept and fulfill them.
Fulfillment and tracking	Workspace → marketplace	Shipment status and tracking updates are reflected for the buyer.
Cancellation and exception status	Both directions	Conflicts are held for staff review rather than silently overwritten.

Listing lifecycle

Listings move through Draft, In review, Published, Needs action, and Removed states. The workspace records validation errors and review notes against the affected product so your team can resolve them without changing unrelated catalog data.

Operational expectations

• Keep stable product and variant identifiers across imports.
• Treat stock updates as idempotent and send the latest absolute quantity.
• Acknowledge new marketplace orders before fulfillment work begins.
• Add tracking as soon as a shipment is created.
• Remove a listing through its distribution settings; do not delete a product that still has active orders.
